How We Recognise People
Recognition goes hand in hand with gratitude at Work.Life. Explore how we do it here
How we recognise people
Recognition here is part of how we notice, reflect, and reinforce what good looks like across the business.
It is grounded in our values, and in the everyday actions that bring them to life. We make sure that the behaviours we value are seen, acknowledged, and repeated over time.
-
Values Matrix
Our Values Matrix sets out what each value looks like in practice.
It moves beyond statements and into behaviours, helping people understand how values show up in day-to-day work. During quarterly performance and progression conversations, everyone is expected to reflect on how they have lived these values.
We encourage people to be able to recognise their own contribution, understand their impact, and build awareness of where they can continue to grow.

#Living Our Values
It feels great when you get recognised by your peers.
Through our Living Our Values Slack channel, people regularly call out each other’s contributions. These are moments where someone has stepped up, supported others, or demonstrated a value in a meaningful way.
It creates a shared awareness of what good looks like across teams, and allows recognition to happen in real time, not just at set points in the year.
-
Quarterly All-Hands & Rewards
Each quarter, recognition is brought into the wider business.
At our Company All-Hands, the leadership team highlights individuals who have consistently demonstrated each of our values. These are people whose actions have had a noticeable impact on their teams, their spaces, or the business as a whole.
As part of this, those recognised receive a £50 credit through our benefits platform Heka, which they can use in a way that suits them.
